Why is it called frogging? In stitching, frogging means ripping out stitches to fix a mistake. The nickname likely stuck because “rip it, rip it” sounds a lot like “ribbit, ribbit” — and stitchers have been calling it frogging ever since. 🐸💚
If you’re new to stitching (or just frog-curious), start here: What Is Frogging in Needlework? A Beginner-Friendly Guide.
And since you’re here at Frogging News, we’re leaning all the way in: this page celebrates the frog. Don’t fear the frog — it shows up right when you need it.
This page features all kinds of frogs: cross-stitch patterns, needlepoint canvases, embroidery and punch needle finds, needleminders, and other stitchy frog-themed goodies. Probably toads too, because honestly, we’re not checking IDs. 🐸
