Announcing Needlepoint Angels a Destashing Fundraiser Site

Needlepoint Angels is a nonprofit donation site for members of the stitchy public, designers, or shops to donate canvases and other supplies. These canvases and more are then gifted to stitchers who have been impacted by disaster or other hardships. Clare described it as comfort stitching, but she also gave an example of a stitcher who lost a beloved canvas in the recent LA fires and are working on finding a replacement.

“We’re officially a non-profit org, we’ve secured a domain and we’re going to be running a destashing site for fundraising and for disaster impacted stitchers to have a place to shop donated canvases.” – Clare owner of Oz Needle and Thread

“Starting a more formalized way to help stitchers in need and who have experienced loss. Fill out the forms in our bios to get help or volunteer!” – Lauren of Sequin Lala Stitches

This is a super-new announcement from Clare and team, and as such the website is under construction. For now, you can follow on Instagram where you can find donation forms or apply in need:

You can listen to Clare talk more about their mission in the embedded IG post below or the original IG live announcement with both Lauren and Clare.
