Mother and daughter team are new owners of Needlepoint Now Magazine with plans to target the millennial market.
The website address will remain the same at needlepointnow.com, but they are changing some of their social media handles. Their new Facebook account is here. Their new Instagram handle @needlepoint_now_magazine_
Andrea, Marisa and Karen are the mother/daughter team taking over from Elizabeth who has been running the Needlepoint Now magazine for 13 years. Not only do they want to focus on the younger millennial markets, but the team also wants to add a digital subscription for international readers per a question received on their new Facebook page. They also mentioned that they want the magazine to be more community-based and the website to be more like a marketplace. You can find out more from this short interview (below) by the Kreinik channel.
Needlepoint Now magazine has been in publication since 1999. Elizabeth Bozievich took over in 2009 from Joyce Lukomski. It is the only dedicated needlepoint magazine available to the general public and is published six times a year.
Update: I just received my Needlepoint Now November/December edition and in it Elizabeth gives a heartfelt goodbye on her Musings page. Along with a cozy picture, she says: “getting ready to retire by practicing lounging in front of the Airstream in my zero gravity chair and stitching.”
