Fat Quarter Shop is online store owned by Kimberly Jolly. It started out as a source for quilting but has grown to include cross-stitch and blossomed with Kimberly YouTube series. Not only does Fat Quarter Shop have pages of free cross-stitch patterns, they recently added a series called Petite Stitches. These small patterns have seasonal themes but also stand-alone motifs as well. Sizes of The Petite Stitches series average 20 by 30 stitches.

Kimberly and team showcased their new free series Petite Stitches with a video tutorial on making a cross-stitch fabric basket they called Bitty Baskets. Watch the tutorial on YouTube. For the supplies used in the video, open their description and look for the links.

Other series among the shop’s free patterns are from stitch-a-longs like All the Trimmings and Bats and Boos. There is also an alphabet and plenty of one-off patterns from popular designers like Shannon Wasilieff of Shannon Christine Designs, Cathy Habermann of Hands On Design, Linda Stolz for Erica Michaels Designs, and a few by Tiny Modernist.

Note that the shop has separate accounts for quilting and cross-stitch. They go by FQSxstitch on social media.
