Nicole of Nerdy Mama Crafting has some nerdy food puns for you! Or are they math puns? At any rate, they involve pie… sort of. Pi Day is March 14th and Nerdy Mama is doing what she do, and made some cross-stitch patterns to celebrate it with fruit pies, pumpkin pie, and pizza pie in the shape of the Greek letter Pi.
piday.org says it’s about celebrating math, but we all know it’s about celebrating pie. From their website, “Pi (often represented by the lower-case Greek letter π), one of the most well-known mathematical constants, is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. For any circle, the distance around the edge is a little more than three times the distance across.” Something about a circle which is a pie shape.
