Gingham Needle Book from Plastic Canvas

Check out this sweet, gingham needle storage book by Mollie Johanson. It’s a free design hosted on Cloud Craft’s blog.

Crafter, stitcher, and author Mollie Johanson has a new plastic canvas freebie. It a needle storage book made with 10-count canvas, tapestry wool, and matching felt. The stitches are needlepoint tent and gobelin stitches in a gingham pattern with three colors. The plastic canvas is folded over and secured with a ribbon to keep it closed. Felt is used as the pages and to cover up the wrong side of the stitching.

You can get the supplies from online shop Cloud Craft based in the UK. Nicole Twena is the owner of Cloud Craft and hosts the free needle book design on their blog. It has step-by-step instructions with lots of pictures. Mollie used surface stitching for the long gobelin stitch, but I would probably do a full stitch to cover the back since glue is used to attach the felt to the back side of the stitching. Definitely an easy project and quick to stitch! Thanks ladies!
