Craftivism Micro-Grant from Shannon Downey of Badass Cross Stitch

Fiber artist and activist Shannon Downey of Badass Cross Stitch wants to reinvest in the craftivist community and spur new projects. She is giving away a small grant as well as some time from her as a strategic advisor. The application is only open to US residents. She also says she is open to all craft mediums.

You will have to answer some deep questions about your idea in the application. From Shannon’s Substack post:

  • What is the change you are trying to create?
  • Does the project directly impact the issue you are addressing?
  • Can you measure impact?
  • Who do you need on your team to get it done?
  • Is it creative, clever, powerful, innovative, actionable, realistic?
