The Knitting and Stitching Show 2021

United Kingdom’s The Knitting and Stitching Show for 2021 is back after having to cancel last year.

Two shows this fall:

  • October 7th – 10th
  • Alexandra Place, London
  • November 18th – 21st
  • HCC, Harogate

The Knitting and Stitching Show is open to the general public and includes “…hundreds of workshops, demonstrations, interactive features, professionally curated galleries, as well as hundreds of the most loved exhibitors selling specialist craft supplies.”

Yes, TKSS has shopping, workshops and demos, galleries to look at, places to take a break and lounge. I’ve even seen references to champagne. The show seems to lean a little more towards sewing, but there is 160 – 220 class options for other textile art like needle felting, appliques, rag rug techniques, Japanese hand stitching, crochet and knitting classes. The list continues.

There’s still a lot of hand embroidery sessions too however:

  • embroidery embellishment
  • dying fabric
  • doodle stitching
  • embroidery for beginners
  • goldwork
  • silk ribbon embroidery
  • mirror embroidery
  • beadwork
  • bargello wall art

I noticed there was nothing in particular for needlepoint/canvaswork or cross-stitch. I did see that there are vendors who have supplies and kits for sale for these.
