Lord Libidan has yet another free resource for us. This time it’s in the shape of over 50 free alphabet fonts for use in our cross-stitch.
To be clear, this resource of his isn’t new. Rhys of Lord Libidan has been around for many years in the cross-stitch realm. I do think it’s great though, and I love to talk about and celebrate Stitch Influencers in the community. I’m also working towards a database of links in hopes of stitchers to find what they need in one place.
Lord Libidan’s website provides (among other things) over 50 stylized alphabets that range from 5 stitches high to 16 stitches high. The larger stitches provide more style choices. There’s also serif and sans serif, gothic to modern. The patterns are free under a Creative Commons license for personal use. He says the alphabets are also available for commercial needs but ask permission first. Oh and apparently you can now purchase a bundled pack through WinStitch/MacStitch. Neat!
