Modern patterns like these geometric ones from UK needlepoint designer Marina are known for their clean lines and shapes. These would definitely be a pleasing stitch for more advanced stitchers as well as look great in the home, but I think these also make an ideal place for beginners to start.
Marina offers large kits, small kits, and PDFs for a quick download of those same kits. A good idea if you don’t want to wait for it to come from the UK. A digital pattern might also be good for a beginner since the first projects rarely turn out perfect. This will allow them to get some good practice in.
