Roundup of Gothic Wedding Samplers in Cross-Stitch

That quote from Mary Shelley in her book Frankenstein may be out of context, but gothic romanticism seems more about strong emotions to me rather than apathetic sadness. And in a recent Etsy Marketplace Insights: 2021 Holiday Trends report it states:

“Going Gothic: We’re seeing searches for Gothic-style wedding details in invitations, fashion, and decor. Explore stark lettering, dark colors like rich berries and black, and macabre accessories. 59% YoY increase in searches on Etsy for Gothic-style wedding items (April through June)”

I was delighted to read this and see what I could round up as far as patterns. There definitely isn’t a lot though. Etsy is an easy one to search for, but I will put out a call to action to designers to see if there more gothic goodness for weddings and the like.
