Bee Engaged on World Bee Day With Inspiration From These Cross-Stitch Patterns

We all depend on the survival of bees, so the UN declared May 20th World Bee Day to bring awareness to this plight. Let’s bee engaged with inspiration from these cross-stitch patterns.

This May 20, 2021 is the fourth observance of World Bee Day as recognized by the United Nations. The day was picked because it’s the birthday of Anton Janša of Slovenia who modernized beekeeping in the 18th century.

“The event will call for global cooperation and solidarity to counter the threats posed by the COVID-19 pandemic to food security and agricultural livelihoods alongside prioritizing environmental regeneration and pollinator protection. It will be an occasion to raise awareness of how everyone can make a difference to support, restore and enhance the role of pollinators.”

Certainly stitching is all well and good, but we can also look at the website for UN Bee Day Observance and that of WorldBeeDay.org on what we can do as individuals to aid in the preservation of bees and other pollinators. But also we’re gonna stitch 😉

Please a look at the following curated collection of beautiful bees in cross-stitch from various designers via Etsy. These are all downloadable or printable PDFs.
