Delightful Dolls Made With Tiny Cross-Stitches on Tiny Plastic Canvas

These cross-stitch patterns were inspired by the paper dolls of our youth and are designed by Etsy shop MedvedSamorodok.

The shop owner from Ukraine says that Medved Samorodok translates to “very talented bear”. See their description:

“My name is MedvedSamorodok. “MedvedSamorodok” translated as “Very talented bear”. My talents are multifaceted. In addition to embroidering on fabric, I embroider gingerbreads and stones. I have created my own style of gingerbread cookies painting “eatable cross-stitch”. I do that using icing and food colorings.
And also I write fairy tales about toy bears and their friends. I sew and crochet bears and dolls of all sizes, especially tiny ones. I have made a gym for tiny bears.”
Talented indeed!

There are already several “paper dolls” in the series, and there are more to come. These were worked on 14-count plastic canvas. Perforated paper is also an option. The patterns are available only as PDFs. Size of a doll: 2,4 X 4,8 inch (6,0w X 12,3h cm). Floss DMC. Stitches: full stitch and backstitch.

Lord Libidan, bloggern and designer, has a DMC skin tone chart should you wish to change the doll’s skin color.
