Atom_Heart_Mother on TikTok made a successful series of her building a plastic canvas dollhouse from an old pattern published by Annie’s.
See the first heartfelt video below where TikTok star atom_heart_mother (AHM) remembers that same plastic canvas dollhouse from her grandma’s house that her and her sister played with as children. We follow along her journey as she finds an old copy, gathers supplies, and gets to creating the dollhouse. There are more than 11 videos which aren’t posted here only the highlights. You can view them without a TikTok account. She also has a lovely video where she gifts the dollhouse to her niece.
Her series was so engaging that her fans starting asking for the pattern too. AHM (sorry, she doesn’t give out her name) got in contact with Annie’s to see if the pattern could be republished. And they said yes! That was another journey of it’s own, but the PDF is now up on the Annie’s website. Cool!
I previously posted about the next series she did which was making the TV show Friends coffee shop out of plastic canvas. She also recently completed Luke’s Diner from the TV show Gilmore Girls. AHM’s current project is her largest plastic canvas journey so far. She also does a lot of cross-stitch and full coverage ones at that. She is making a castle, but to make it extra special AHM is converting it to a Hogwarts School castle. An incredible interesting video is where she shared a spreadsheet of how much all of the supplies cost which includes approximately 200 sheets of plastic canvas. Just wow.
The embedded videos may take awhile to load. You can go straight to her TikTok however. She also has an Etsy shop where she has her original design patterns available for purchase at AtomicHeartXStitch.
