2021 looks to be a good year for cross-stitch books hitting the shelves. Let’s take a look at what’s coming!
Subversive, scandalous, inclusive, fun, funky, relaxing, swearing, creepy, cute. These are all of the cross-stitch books we can look forward to this year. And it’s nice to have something to look forward to for a change. Something other than the end of the pandemic! But because of the virus and subsequent lockdowns, more people have taken up crafts and as such more books are being published. That part, I hope, stays the same. More cross-stitch books to choose from can only be a good thing.
We have several returning authors on the list: Julie Jackson, Emma Congdon (Stitchrovia), Durene Jones, and Gail Bussi. And several new authors, though they are no strangers to designing patterns: David Hastings (Dottie Salami), Lindsay Swearingen (TuskandCardinal), Kyoko Maruoka, and John Michael-Stoof.
We also saw Volume 1 of A Bitch in Time: 30 Snarcastic Stitches for You to Stab in 2020 from newbie Tara K. Reed, so here’s hoping Volume 2 will be out in 2021! You can take a look at my review of Volume 1. There’s also a chance a few other cross-stitch books popup as the year goes. If so, I will let you know!
