Madeleine of CliffsideStitches has done some stunning designs with these cross-stitch bookmarks. They are inspired by colorful textiles per region.
There are seven sets in the collection with each one consisting of five specific countries. Each of the patterns are as colorful and diverse as the places that inspired them. Madeleine says information on historical and cultural sources are also included. She specializes in modern interpretations of traditional motifs from around the world. CliffsideStitches tagline is “Traditional Designs for Modern Times”.
Regions bookmark collection include: Palestine, Greater Middle East, Mediterranean, South and Central America, Central and Eastern Europe, Nordic Region, and Asia. The countries represented can also be stitched on each pattern. There are also some gorgeous regional samplers in her shop.
