Giant Bugs in Plastic Canvas

Update: Ekaterina is a brilliant Russian designer who lost her Etsy account due to the war. Her shop Lama Cross Stitch is now Smasterilli. She is working on her own website, but for now you can check out her link bio to find her patterns.

Want to see a giant bug you won’t mind having in your home. These! Because they are made from plastic canvas and embroidery floss.

This giant fly is available as a pattern from Etsy designer Kate at LamaCrossStitch. It is the only bug available right now, but on her r/CrossStitch post she says she wants to make a moth next. And someone in the comments suggested a jumping spider. Neat!

LamaCrossStitch also has more great patterns from plastic canvas on her shop as well as some cross-stitch. Definitely a designer to keep an eye on.

Shop pattern: LamaCrossStitch Fly in Plastic Canvas

Here is the original Reddit post.

[FO] My last cross stitch project on a plastic canvas. This is green fly. I haven’t decided where to hang it yet, but I think it will look good on houseplants. While there are plans to make more different insects in the same style. from r/CrossStitch

Want to find the pattern again? You can always head to the Plastic Canvas menu item at the top then Shop Patterns.
