Happy to see that bargello is making a comeback. It usually consists of a straight, upright stitch to produce a geometric pattern. Bargello is easy and fun and a good place for beginners in needlepoint to get started. Mary Thomas’s Dictionary of Embroidery Stitches revised by Jan Eaton. This is my go-to reference book! The middle section contains all of the needlepoint stitches.
