The year 2020 has been hard one for everyone individuals and businesses alike. Several beloved stitch magazines have ceased publication: Cross Stitch Crazy, Cross Stitch Gold. Other magazines took a break and then reduced the number of issues per year. It isn’t unusual for magazines to shut down, and over the last few years we’ve lost several sewing, quilting, and knitting ones. I just hope our list doesn’t get any smaller.

CrossStitcher is a UK magazine and a product of Warners Group Publications. They offer print and digital versions, but the print versions run out quickly. It features monthly magazines and a bonus summer issue.

Just CrossStitch is an Annie’s Publication. This US based magazine comes out every other month and has a special Halloween, and Christmas ornaments issue.

Punch Needle & Primitive Stitcher is the only magazine combining punch needle and cross-stitch. It is published seasonally four times a year with a large Christmas/Winter edition. US based.

The World of Cross Stitching is a UK magazine and can be found on arts and crafts website Gathered. It is published 13 times a year.

XStitch Magazine is another UK based mag and calls itself the modern cross stitch magazine. This one however is only offered digitally. They have quarterly issues revolving around a central theme.
